Friendly staff and good food. Unfortunately due to covid limited menu.

Nice clean restaurant in AuSable River country. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. Have been there many times and always good. My personal favorite is the Fall Harvest Salad. It was a HUGE portion served with a delicious maple dressing.

It was good, but sometimes like tonight the Burger was dry.

Good homestyle restaurant. The only thing I felt could be improved was how the server reacted to my questions/concerns. She did a good job in taking care of us, however I felt as though she had an irritation in her voice every time we asked a question; like she didn’t want to be helping us/doing the job she was there for. She also gave one of my kids the wrong meal and he then had to wait another 10 minutes for it while his brothers ate. I’ve worked in customer service for over 20 years and realize it’s not always easy to ‘serve’ customers, but we should strive to do the best we can with a positive attitude:)

Always friendly service, good food, and reasonable prices.

We have been here a few times. The menu was great, a lot of options- and the food was delicious. However, I guess the menu has changed and is now very limited. The menu listed on the website and on facebook is not correct. I tried to order 6 different meals for clients today and they only still had 1 out of 6. I would recommend dining in, or (if you prefer carryout) stopping in to get a copy of the new menu.

If your looking for comfort food this is the place to go. The food was cooked perfectly. I felt like a little kid again at grandma's house having a special holiday dinner. Lots of leftovers to bring home. I was stuffed. I will be stopping in as I come through Mio more often. THANKS!!

Average family diner. Ordered the chicken tender basket. Tenders and fries were hot but unseasoned, and the amount of ranch dressing provided was very small. The potato soup was surprisingly quite good.As experienced by another another member of my party, some of the food descriptions on the menu are misleading (for example, the roast beef said it comes with swiss cheese, when in reality it came with white cheese sauce).

Great fast and friendly service, food was hot and out quick. Everything you want from a diner

Everything is 5+. From the cooking to the waitress and all the staff. They are friendly and seem to really like their job. If they don't then they get an A+ in faking it until you make it. Make sure you tip them well if you have the money. Still go there and eat if you only have the money for a meal out, everyone deserves a good meal at a decent price. If you have the money and your just a tight wad, open your tight zip wallet and your wait person is paying their bills with what you leave them. I worked their job more than once and its not easy putting up with the public. And for regular customers daily, don't think you have to tip well because you go there daily and sit for hours. You're taking there money by sitting there for hours. Don't mean to offend anyone, just sticking up for the American workers.

When traveling through the area, this is a great place to stop and eat. It has good food and is reasonably priced. The staff was nice and the food came out of the kitchen quickly.

Went two days in a row. Thomas the cook does a great job. We tried the new Thomas Burger yesterday ,it was Amazing! Today we had Nachos for lunch all fresh crispy no longer like the canned meat in the past either . I recommend if you had a bad experience in the past such as i did , give them another chance well worth it. Everything is much better. Service was right on top of things not a glass went dry and my coffee stayed warm cup at a time!

Great place for a quick bite. Good American comfort food in a traditional family restaurant setting. The staff is friendly, and definitely treat you with that "family" small town attitude. My Cajun Burger and Chili Cheese Waffle Fries were quite tasty, and my dad's club sandwich, according to him, was quite good as well. I've been coming up 33 from Detroit to Onaway for years and have passed this place countless times, but never stopped in until today. Needless to say, this will become a regular stop on my trip Up North.

I've been from Texas to North Dakota, and few restaurants compare to this lovely little place. Simple, friendly, and delicious. Seems like each time I go is better than the last.

Great place for breakfast, friendly staff, good food and fairly priced

Great food and quick service during the busiest part of the day.

My dad and brother went last Saturday. My brother ordered the breakfast buffet while dad ordered Scrambled eggs, toast, and sausage links. Yes the place was busy but after 20-24 minutes dad still hadn't gotten his food. While other tables who came in AFTER my brother and dad received their food. Dads food was removed from the bill. But still not acceptable.

Was in Mio winterizing my summer home. Had dinner with two family members. All had a tasty meal at a fair price.

4 stars for the restaurant but 5 stars for the pie. Only problem is the don't sell whole pies by the wedge only, great pie.

I love the nachos -- looking forward to getting a take-out lunch next week when I come to Mio. I have eaten in the Paddle Inn quite a few times and always enjoy my meal.

Great as usual, always great food!

Soup was hearty and hot, salad bar was perfect with all my favorite ingredients and dressings. I was full when I left. Very clean facility, too.

We happened upon this restaurant by chance. What a nice place! The good was very good! My husband had the fish basket and I had the chicken strips. They both came with fries which were done to perfection. The prices were quite reasonable and the staff was friendly and attentive. Great place to eat!

The place was remodeled and looks very nice. I love the rustic look of the place. The food was improved as well. Since it's pretty calm I'm certain I'm going back. I had the wet burrito. Very tasty, didn't like the sauce that was on it but I managed to eat around it. It was gritty chili type sauce. That needs improving on.

People were friendly. I had the mushroom/Swiss burger and it was very good.

The food here is yummy and the staff are all kind.

We had a good experience for dinner on a Saturday night! The server was thorough, efficient and friendly. Our food was tasty and plenty. I had the Fall Harvest Salad and it was fresh with lots of toppings. My man had the battered cod and he said it was really good, the fried batter was perfect. This place is much better than AuSable River Restaurant.

Good food and generous portions. Only negative was the waitress I had who was not very personable and the wait time was long. (10min just to get a menu and another 25 min for good) Would go again just wish for friendlier and faster service.

Loved it. Had biscuits and gravy with a side of American fries. Has parking for truck drivers like myself. Bonus!

Would give more but not an option. Best family resturant I've ever been to in 40 years. I haven't eaten Cole slaw since 1996 cause it was never as good. This place hit it on point like a ❤ shot deer. Staff was friendly, food was good, and for a family of 6 price was decent. Will be coming back again.
